Distinct Devotion at The Bowery Hotel
When we work with our couples, we FEEL the love. Among the flowers, well wishes and funky dance moves, it’s tangible and we wrap ourselves up in it. And every couple has their own style that is true and authentic to them, the way they express themselves and their love. With Kaileigh + Grant, we were filled with the dramatic, moody, vintage and gothic inspired love style that they embody and share with one another. To capture this feel we came up with the theme of a gothic beauty and the beast, which guided our overall design. Every detail in our design for their big day was meant to express their unique sense of expression. From the moody and candid style photography done by Amber Gress, to the dramatic and romantic flowers, and all the fine details in between. Every moment was designed and planned to convey just what is so special about Kaileigh and Grant’s love.
The moment guests entered the Bowery Hotel, they knew they were in for an unforgettable night. The halls of The Bowery were transformed with hanging vines and moss that crept up the walls. Soft light among the vines and candles throughout the space created a magical ambiance that was both romantic and moody. Deep, rich florals in eggplant, magenta, red, and gold hues provided passionately beautiful details, both big and small. Rebecca Shepherd Floral Designs took it to a whole new level in every way, making for an enduring impression.
Kisses promising forever took place in front of the gorgeous fireplace, surrounded by candles, rose petals, and embellished with a wild floral installation. Each table held distinct vintage elements and design details such as black taper candles, rich gold accents, and custom stationery done by Katie Fischer Design. And signature cocktails and tarot readings delighted friends and family.
The couple’s personal style was unmatched as well. Grant’s classic black tie look was paired perfectly with Kaileigh’s lace detailed gown. But the look was not complete without her black leather jacket, adorned with floral embellishment and the words “till death”, which perfectly encapsulated their distinctive style.
The fun continued into the night with a late night snack of McDonald's chicken nuggets, fries and cheeseburgers. It was such a fun element that the couple was initially nervous to ask for, until they realized that I love chicken nuggets! We laughed and bonded from that moment on!
Every detail was curated to express their love and to create an intimate, memorable experience for themselves and their guests. We firmly believe that every couple should have a day that is SO them, and we loved every minute of planning and designing Kaileigh + Grant’s uniquely fanciful and romantic day!
