LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
I had SO MUCH FUN styling an engagement shoot for a lovely NYC couple! I was in the process of planning their wedding when I realized they did not yet have an engagement shoot so when Jessica Schmitt of Jessica Schmitt Photography offered her services I couldn't resist! She wanted to do a fun shoot in Madison Square Park featuring the Red Yellow and Blue rope instillation made by Orly Genger and right away MaKenzie and Vernale came to mind! MaKenzie and Vernale's wedding will be everything but traditional. They have decided a white wedding is overrated, so we are designing a very colorful wedding with a focus on neon's! Her wedding dress will be hand died with neon color accents, the napkins are neon green, the invites are neon purple and the centerpieces will be very colorful and created with neon sand! Naturally the engagement shoot had to be as colorful as the couple and their upcoming rooftop wedding!
On a gloomy day in May I made my way to MaKenzie's house to select outfits and accessories for the couple. We wanted to bring out their modern, edgy side as well as her passion for color so solid, simple, bold colors were the focus. I wanted her shoes to pop so I reached out to a friend at Chromatic Gallerie to get some fabulous and comfy pumps!
In keeping with our theme I purchased 16 inch white balloons that would serve as message boards for the couples shoot! I used a sharpie marker to write "I'M YOURS" on two balloons, "LOVE HIM" and "LOVE HER MORE" on others and I drew a red heart on another. I really wanted to do something unique with balloons so I made bowtie's for each of the balloons to give them additional character. Below are some great shots, Enjoy!

Here is a sneak peek at designing and styling the shoot! Decorating balloons, placing balloons, caring for the dog, there is nothing I won't do for my couples!
