Our event planning and design team at Jove Meyer had the honor of curating an unconventional and colorful Hamptons backyard wedding for Sarah and Charlie. Set in the enchanting garden of Sarah’s childhood home, this unforgettable event showcased our talent for integrating into an existing landscape and showcasing the couple’s unique love story. The property, with its blooming flowers and lush greenery, became the ideal canvas for paying homage to the subtle influence of Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Fallingwater design.

The Hamptons, known for timeless beauty, was the picturesque backdrop for the festivities. Utilizing every corner of the property, we created a transportive experience for guests. Making this backyard into the perfect wedding venue required our team to bring extensive event infrastructure, including restroom trailers and a catering kitchen, without taking away from the natural beauty.

Sarah's striking Vera Wang red dress was an ideal match for the breathtaking property, adorned with meticulously maintained 12 acres of picturesque scenery. Its contemporary architectural elements, whimsical artwork, and delightful attractions like the enchanting koi ponds provided the perfect backdrop for Sarah's magnificent arrival. We saw this fashion “moment” as a chance to blend organic and modern styles, so we seamlessly incorporated these elements into the wedding's design. Our goal was to create a harmonious fusion of the bride's attire's vibrant elegance with the backyard’s irresistible charm.

The wedding ceremony took place in a bird-cage gazebo adorned with flowers that complemented Sarah’s fabulous fashion-forward red dress and the groom’s more classic attire. Bourgeon Flowers did a meticulous job of carefully integrating the floral elements into the ceremony structure organically and purposefully. Their talented team designed the floral arrangements and installations to create a vibrant and romantic atmosphere, reflecting the garden’s essence and Sarah’s bold and playful choice.

The tented wedding reception area became a fun opportunity to integrate more modern elements like ghost chairs with playful table numbers with the natural wood tables. The ceiling installations by Studio Bourgeon combined soft floral arrangements and fabric meant to mimic the streams throughout the property. While the lighting elements created a fun quirky feel. The vibrant palette created an atmosphere of joy and celebration, reflecting the couple's non-traditional approach.

Throughout the night, Sarah, Charlie, and their guests were transported to a world of organic design, architectural beauty, and heartfelt celebrations. Our planning and execution ensured that every moment flowed seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that gave everyone a sense of warmth and belonging. The dance floor came alive with joyful energy as loved ones celebrated the happy couple!

By embracing their unconventional vision and the property’s carefully curated beauty, we created a unified and transportive experience that reflected Sarah and Charlie’s unique love story. Inspired by the organic spirit and subtle echoes of Frank Lloyd Wright and the couple’s personalities, our designs created an unforgettable experience, utilizing every aspect of the family’s backyard to create a seamless and enchanting celebration.
