Colorful Elegance at the Bowery Hotel
There’s something magical about an event that exhibits the beauty and versatility of color. It’s no secret that we are drawn to the powerful impact of a vibrant bloom or the beauty of a colorful installation. So we were thrilled to partner with Caroline + Brendan, who wanted to embrace color in a big way. Their special day was a beautiful one, full of all we adore about the brilliance of love and a colorful design.
The Bowery Hotel is such a gem, with its old world charm and elaborate design details. Caroline + Brendan fell in love with its warmth and subtle elegance and knew that it was the perfect space for their memorable celebration. Drawing inspiration from the rich atmosphere of the space, the design of the day told a colorful story with its lush and romantic tones.
As with any event, the invitations set the tone for the couple’s big day. We adored the jewel tones and modern take on a classic invitation suite. Key details on the paper captured the design elements that we love at the Bowery Hotel, giving a hint at the elaborate beauty to come. While gold elements and stamps that suited the color scheme beautifully all played a role in invoking the mood of their wedding, allowing the guests to get even more excited to celebrate the beautiful couple.
On the big day, guests were met with the moody brilliance of the space. It truly is the perfect place for a fine romance. The ceremony was held in front of the fireplace, where a wild overgrowth of greenery and blossoms seemed to sprout from the wall itself. This organic abundance was carried over into the greenery that adorned the chandeliers, giving us the feeling of being within a lush garden. Such a charming display, created by Designs by Ahn, wowed us and served as a stunning backdrop to the couple’s romantic moment.
After vows were shared, a cocktail hour was held on the outdoor terrace of the hotel. Guests enjoyed small bites and sipped specialty cocktails, which were just as colorful as the rest of the design. The impact of the florals was seen in the reception design as well. Lustrous metallic vessels were filled with bold blooms, bringing that botanical ambiance to the tables. Gray tapers and neutral pastel linens allowed the colorful flowers to stand out, while driving home the elegance of the event. The Bowery Hotel was made for jewel tones and big romance, and it did not disappoint.
